Pemba is an island to the north of the Zanzibar Archipelago, it is a much quieter, less accessible, far less infrastructure and hence and less tourist heavy than Zanzibar. It is perfect for "roughing it" adventure- it has spectacular unspoiled beaches and some of the best diving in Africa.
